I'm new to town and absolutely love this spot. Quaint little coffee shop, bakery, breakfast joint with everything you need, nothing you don't to get your day going. Shelly is all of our mothers--making sure we are comfortable and have everything we need to have a great day. Thank you to Mack, Donna, and Torrey for giving me a cozy home base on some of these cool spring mornings. Cheers.

One of the best breakfast experiences I've ever had. This was our first stop on a tour of Colorado and it set us off on a high note. Food was great, but service was even better. Everyone was so friendly, and they even gave my sister and I free cupcakes when they overheard us say that our birthdays would be happening while on our trip. From the owner adjusting the outdoor umbrella to provide us with shade, to the waitress taking it upon herself to get us refills of coffee in cups for the road....everything was amazing and so appreciated!

We gave it a try for breakfast and the omelets were amazing. Plus they had my favorite potato, hash browns that were cooked perfectly. The standard coffee was excellent and the hot tea selection was at least a dozen. Definitely going back.

I chose Miyo for a meeting place from yelp reviews. One of the group is from CO Springs and Castle Rock is a good in between place. Little did we know we would be eating the best veggie benedicts ever and an amazing burrito. We enjoyed the outdoor seating with a beautiful view of the mountains. Our next meeting at Miyo is already on our calendars. ...thank you! GT

Finally getting around to writing my review. This place is very good. It's in a little hidden book of Castle Pines. I had the scramble and my BF had the breakfast tacos. Both of which were very yummy! We will be back forsure. It's not like a normal restaurant. You go in and order at the counted and then they bring you your food. I am really interested to try several things on the menu. Everything tastes very fresh. Came out hot. Overall very good place!

I had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast with friends who live in Castle Rock at this small, family owned café. It had a nice, hustle-bustle morning atmosphere, and the food and service were great! We all ordered breakfast tacos, which were delicious. One of my friends is gluten-free, and they accidentally made her taco on flour rather than corn tortillas even though she had asked for corn. The manager came over, and handled the situation really well, and even brought here a gluten-free pastry to tide her over while they re-made her order. I will definitely visit again, and if you ever find yourself in Castle Rock I highly recommend that you check it out!

I needed a place to meet with a couple of folks that was between Denver and Colorado Springs. We needed a cozy, creative atmosphere, and we were looking for good food, too. Miyo Cafe did not disappoint us! I enjoyed a breakfast burrito, and the staff was very helpful in working with my dairy allergy. It came smothered in green chile. I enjoy food with a kick, and so I ordered the chile hot. It was perfect for my taste, not overwhelming but very flavorful. My meeting mates each had a Benedict that looked delicious. We all cleaned up every morsel. It was that good! We will definitely be back!

We met some friends here for a late breakfast on a Monday. The food was very good and we were all pleased with our experience. We will be back.

#1 Breakfast spot in Castle Rock by far! Our favorite weekend spot.

Food was great, but what reall stood out was the atmosphere. Everyone was super friendly and the whole place seemed warm and personable. Despite being nearly packed the place was quiet. Probably because everyone was busy shoving the yummy food in their faces! On a side note it is dog friendly which is a super plus for me.

I've lived in Castle Rock for over a year and just recently found this place when a friend was visiting. We LOVED it. I would eat here every day if I could. Prices are very reasonable and you get a good amount of food! The Benedict Burrito with extra holundaise sauce and smothered in green chili is my favorite!!

Great vibe. Fresh food. Friendly service. Happy decor. Creative varied menu. We visited this place on our way from Denver to Colorado Springs. Loved it. Healthy options. Splurge options. Smoothies. We did it all. I got Dick's Plate with eggs & avocado. So tasty. Omelettes were fresh & fluffy. Got the Weber smoothie with spinach & coconut milk. Yum. Ready for our hike after this great start to our day.

Ok so I have, I have been so impressed with this place I am a 100% fan! Not only do they have my fave Chai Tea but the owner Donna is amazing! She truly cares for her customers and is someone I will definitely support. The girls are so nice and Shelly always goes out of her way to come and chat with you to see how things are going, they are all super sweet I love that they already know what I want before I order and they really take the time to make you feel special. Make sure you try this place!

We needed a breakfast spot between Denver and Colorado Springs to meet a friend who was in from out of town visiting family. This was the perfect spot and we had a wonderful 3 hour chat-fest in this quaint breakfast and lunch spot. The staff were all very friendly, something you can't always expect these days. The menu varied and includes a lot of gluten free and vegetarian options. Portions are generous and the food quality seemed high. On the drive home, my husband and I commented that we wished this place was closer to our home because if it were, we would be regulars. If you are in the area, make sure to eat here. We hope to be able to come back soon.

If you are in Castle Rock, CO you must stop by at this charming and delicious breakfast/lunch place. Donna and Gary Stern, two most amazing people own the place and were most kind, providing us with recommendations since we couldn't decide which of many amazing choices should we go with. I would strongly recommend both, eggs Benedict, and southwest Benedict, that was a special I believe. We also had scrambler which was amazing and two eggs any way. Between 4 of us, we ate absolutely everything. I can't finish my review before I comment on heavenly coffee. We ordered special based on what Donna suggested and we were very grateful since this Cinnabon Latte was to die for. It made our drive to Colorado Springs that much better. Thank you Donna and Gary for amazing experience at your lovely Miyo Cafe. Hope to stop by soon!

Very pleasant! I visited this morning and enjoyed the experience. Very good coffee, a nice selection of breakfast items and plenty of pastries/baked goods from which to choose. A bit pricey but that's to be expected - they're in Castle Pines Village. They're on the southeast corner of Highway 85 and Happy Canyon Road. Stop by, you'll enjoy it.

First visit June 2015; ate outside for a breakfast/brunch meeting; friendly, helpful staff, BEST veggie Eggs Benedict I've ever eaten- perfectly soft eggs, mushrooms, spinach, a variety of peppers and very flavorful Hollandaise sauce, creamy and perfect! Especially enjoyed that I could taste the favors of ALL the veggies! I'll be back next month!

If you're near the Castle Rock area, stop in Miyo's for specialty coffee made with local beans (the marshmallow caramel latte was decadent!) or one of their amazing breakfast items (the tacos violate all the laws of physics with as much as they put in them). The service was fast and courteous, the restaurant was organized and clean and not overly crowded like many places, I look forward to coming back here again!

  • Janell M.

Absolutely shocked at how rude the woman with short brown hair and glasses taking the orders was to my fiancé. She was incredibly obnoxious, unhelpful and made a big deal about not us not choosing the right meat for the tacos which were listed with "choose any meat." We don't even have our food yet but I can tell you we won't be back. ***Took 40 minutes to get our food in a stand-up-and-order restaurant. They gave me my "breakfast tacos" and halfway in I realized there were no eggs or hash browns. They were the regular tacos. Nuts.

I was taking a long leisurely drive to nowhere in particular one random Saturday morning and I came across this listing on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Aside from the odd location (Hwy 85 and Happy Canyon) in the weirdest collection of retail/food/misc stores I've seen in a while. It's as if someone took a miniature downtown and plopped it in the middle of nowhere. The place was pretty crowded and the service at the counter as well as the wait for my breakfast burrito was quite long. But I guess I didn't have anywhere to go so no harm. The new owner, Donna, was friendly and welcoming, and the interior of this place has the decor you'd expect from a contemporary coffee and breakfast joint. You order from the counter and then take a seat and your food is brought out to you. The menu is large - they have just as many choices for breakfast and lunch as any sit down waiter restaurant. Breakfast Burritos, Pancakes, Omelettes, Bagels, Coffee & Teas, etc. I had the Sausage Breakfast Burrito with a side of Blueberry Dollar Pancakes and they were both very very good. I had to pack away half the burrito for later. Like I said it did take almost 20 minutes to get my food but I guess sitting outside on a nice May Saturday morning taking in some sun isn't a bad way to start your day. I thought the prices were very reasonable, my two items came to just under $9. They have a bunch of outdoor seating, I believe I counted 8 tables, about half have umbrellas. Recommended!

  • Mulcher S.

The food was pretty good. I had the breakfast burrito with coffee and a side of green chili. The green chili needs more flavor for sure but the burrito was very good. The service from the girls working was very friendly and punctual. Plus you get a 5% discount for paying cash. I wish more places would do that. I subtracted a star because it could be a little cleaner. When I got a stir stick for my coffee they where stuck together at the bottom. Plus a few other details that could be cleaned. Over all a good breakfast place.

  • Kuldeep B.

The food and service here is great! My husband and I were visiting from California and stumbled upon Castle rock. Such a cute little town! There were lots of restaurants nearby but Miyo caught our attention. There was outdoor seating available and service was fast. We ordered the chicken tortilla soup (best I have ever had), Chicken noodle soup, Lemon bar, Spinach berry salad, & a Cesar salad. Everything was simple and delicious. We will definitely come back when in town!

We found this place on our visit to Castle Pines a few months ago through a Yelp search looking for a breakfast place and wow, what a place. We have been back 5-6 times and are actually sitting here now. The breakfast burritos are incredible and the staff is very welcoming. Highly recommend Miyo Cafe.

Stumbled upon MIYO while out working in my new territory and decided to give it a shot for lunch. Shelly and Mackenzie were both super sweet and helpful as I was a first-timer... I opted for a tuna melt on sourdough with american cheese and lettuce accompanied by some french fries. My meal was brought right to me at my table even though this is more of a quick service restaurant and it came out in less than 10 minutes. My sandwich and fries were absolutely perfect, just the right amount of everything! Although I hadn't eaten a thing all day and was very hungry, the sandwich was such a good size that I could only eat half. I took the remaining half and my fries home and got to have it for dinner which heated up nicely in my toaster oven. Service was lovely and the food was terrific. If I lived in the neighborhood I'd be a frequent customer, I'll just have to settle for visits when I am in the area for work. Highly recommend... They have a whole menu full of options whether you're looking for a sandwich, burger, salad, breakfast or fresh baked pastries... Really looking forward to my next visit :)

My brother and I came in today for a quick brunch and the line was maybe 10 people deep if that. It was anything but quick we waited over an hour for food, which came out missing several of the components of the dish. I think a lot of fathers day were ruined today! If they could fix the timing issue I could see this place getting 3 stars easily. Also as a side note a table who ordered three people ahead of us was waiting for food when we left, and not a single apology from the staff.

  • LD P.

Great breakfast burrito!! We got them to go since we were traveling....there was liquid (maybe from the green chiles??) in the bottom of the foil that made eating a little bit challenging.....but it was well worth the slight inconvenience! Will definitely be back!

Excellent food, great Eggs Benedict. Friendly competent staff. One of my favorite stops on the way to work.

  • Shot G.

I WANT to like this place, but I can't. Every time we go int there the food is bad. Old fruit put on top of our oatmeal, tough, rubbery pancakes that are inedible. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Stopped into Miyo this past Saturday and could not have been more pleased. The staff was very helpful with the menu and gave great recommendations. The service was quick and friendly. The food was delicious with huge serving sizes considering the low costs. Will definitely be visiting again!

Miyo is a great brunch option located next to castle pines. What made this 4 stars is the outdoor tables and the relaxed no wait service. The manager lady was nice and we will definitely return. Close at 2pm and 1pm on Sundays.

Excellent! Lots of breakfast and lunch menu options. Hard to choose, but decided on the curry chicken wrap. YUMMMM!! Great food, friendly environment (cool music ;-) WE WILL BE BACK!!

Just happened to stop by on our way to Colorado Springs. It was awesome. I wish I was able to eat here all the time. I tried the veggie breakfast tacos. Never had anything like it. There were so many vegetarian options.

This place is great! We were here on Monday morning around 9am. We love Snooze and The Pancake House but it's always so loud and not very relaxing. This place has great fresh food and a relaxing atmosphere. We sat outside on the patio and it was nice and peaceful. I enjoyed the vanilla french toast with turkey sausage. Yum! The service was good also. I definitely recommend it and hope to come here again soon.

This was the perfect place to come before going to the outlet mall. It's definitely worth while to go the extra couple miles because that's exactly what this place does for it's customers. Great atmosphere, the owners were so nice and welcoming. Great service and incredible fresh made food. 100% wonderful experience.

Incredible staff and incredible food. It's a go to spot for me for getting work done and having lunch meetings! If you are in the area stop in here where the locals go to eat! I can't say enough about Donna and this amazing place!

I read the reviews before stopping in here for lunch today....not sure what so many are fussing about re: prices?? Sure, if you compare their prices to making a sandwich at home, it's going to cost more at the cafe. But I find their prices extremely reasonable. Club sandwich on croissant with sweet potato fries was yummy and their iced chai was AWESOME especially since they keep almond milk on hand (yeah!) Great service, good food, great value and cute ambiance. Beautiful day for outdoor seating, too.

Locally owned and lovely! This warm, beautiful cafe is absolutely perfect. The food is delicious, the service beyond great, and they even have a little play kitchen that my toddler loved! Happy toddler, happy Mama enjoying her delightful yogurt parfait!

Loved the food and ambiance at MIYO. The owner Donna is as nice as they come. I remember Donna from working at Rodney's for so many years. She and her husband have done such a great job with the menu and bakery. Love the tacos, both lunch and breakfast style. The baked good are delicious. Give this place a try, you'll be glad you did. And you'll be supporting good, local people, not a chain corporation.

Super happy with this place. We just moved from San Francisco and were pleasantly surprised to find a cafe that served fresh, creative food. I.e. Breakfast tacos which were awesome and the French toast was excellent as well. The coffee was great as well. Plus the owner came by and brought my son cookies for after. Certainly made him happy.

If you are not from the village, don't bother going. We were treated with judgment and disrespect simply because we chose to spend our money their while passing through town. When our order came out incorrectly, instead of taking responsibility it was made to seem we were at fault. Also, the employee working the register pointed and blamed us when speaking to customers who were in line behind us informing them there would be a short wait. Decent food, horrible service.

I visited for my first time this week for breakfast with a group of girlfriends. How have I passed this place so many times and have never been in before? Nice interior but it was a lovely morning so we ate outside. Their menu sounded great and there were several veggie options. I'm eating pretty healthy these days so opted for hard boiled eggs and a fresh fruit bowl so not much to review on food. Happy they had those options and my fruit was better-than-the-standard fruit cup with strawberries, kiwi and grapes. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table so nice and easy. We lingered for 2+ hours and not a peep to move us along so I appreciate that! Their baked goods looked really good...hard to resist!

A lovely little neighborhood cafe...in a pricey neighborhood. Food was fresh and made to order. Lots of food options available, tasty coffee and espresso drinks! I would definitely go back here if I was in the area...my Americano was one of the best I've ever had!

Stopped in today after a trip to Tony's Market. Nice little place that is light, airy and clean. I ordered the huevos rancheros with mild green chili - which would have been a better first taste if they hadn't accidently served me HOT green chili. They quickly corrected the error. The dish was good and the portion large enough that I took half home with me for later. My husband had fluffy bacon pancakes that he enjoyed with a side of bacon. Add to our order two mediums coffees and we quickly had a $20+ breakfast - a little on the pricey side. The food was good, the service was good but I'm not going to make a special trip out to overpay for the food.

  • Venessa B.

A great little place off the beaten path. Some things are a little pricey but the food selection suits anyone's taste and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast burritos are the best deal and will keep you full long past breakfast. I recommend trying one of the daily specials they come up with also. Also, their brownies are to die for!

MiYO is a great little cafe nestled in Castle Pines and it does a good job as a coffee shop and breakfast/brunch/lunch spot. I enjoy riding my bike here and grabbing an iced coffee and a treat. Coffee prices are about what you'd expect and their baked goods are also reasonably priced. I usually pay $6 for my visit. The service is above average and it has decent character. Combine it with good food and coffee at average prices, I think it is worth a visit if you need caffeine or non-dinner food. I don't truly get is a sense of gemütlichkeit or cool. Yes, it's non-chain and clean and it has nice decor, but it's not a place that makes you say "wow" when you walk in the door--it doesn't pop. Having been to similar businesses that do induce that feeling, I'm not sure it deserves five stars. Also, they close at 2 on weekdays. Not a mark down, more of an FYI. What MiYO does deserve is a visit. It's a great cafe that delivers on enjoyable drinks and satisfying food at fair prices in a well maintained, comfortable atmosphere.

Consistently good! We typically stop by after church on Sunday mornings! Gets really busy, yet service is still relatively fast!

Enjoying a wonderful day with my mom when we came upon this quaint little shop, everything looked good, but the owner, was just sitting down to eat her lunch, so I'm not sure if she was simply hungry or what, but her demeanor was not the most welcoming, albeit, she was trying to be gracious, just not succeeding. :( Then came the food. I was intending to order, you know, a burger with sweet potato fries, which looked mouth-watering good when it passed by me to another customer, but I received a call when placing my order which distracted me and I ended up ordering a breakfast burrito. Pretty flavorless and unappealing all the way around, however, there are a lot of other things on the menu I am curious to try and I did love the ambiance. My mom ordered the chili verde meat burrito and loved it, so maybe it was just me wishing I had that burger? By the way, there was a wide variety of items from great sandwiches, breakfast items, salads, and desserts...mmmm. Nevertheless, I will return!

wow! just found this place. great service and food. i had the french toast and my wife the juevos rancheros and it was like no other. just great service and locally owned w/ the owners always there. we were able to just hang as there was free wifi and no rush to leave.

When I walked in I was afraid the service would be slow - it looked like a shoestring operation. Two people, tops. I was pleasantly surprised. They handed out samples of a new bread, took three orders and made polite conversation with regulars and me, who's not a familiar face. I had the 'tres tacos' with chicken - nothing fancy, but delicious. My friend got the omelette and loved it - again, a simple dish, but you'd be surprised how many restaurants can screw up the simple things! NOT THIS PLACE. I'm definitely going back. While I was waiting for my friend to arrive the owner came out and was telling the building owner she wanted to pressure wash outside because it didn't sparkle at night. I'm very impressed by the service, food and how much the owner obviously cares about the entire experience. There was a tiny bone in my chicken and when I told her she offered anything I wanted to make up for it. I cook chicken and know a little bone can be hard to avoid - I said no thanks and instead will definitely be back!

Great place for breakfast. Had the French toast with eggs and sausage and it was a good portion and tasty. My friends had the breakfast burrito with the green Chile and looks great as well.

  • Maddie S.

Service is wonderful and the owners are awesome people. They make great coffee and their pastry chef rocks. Their general menu is just OK. Their wraps are under-filled and their burgers are too big. They say their sandwiches come with a pickle, but I got 2 quarter-sized pickle slices instead. However... If you're hungry for breakfast they have delicious, huge breakfast burritos. (and once again, great coffee!) Lunch menu just needs a little help.

Cute little bakery/cafe. Ate a egg salad sandwich on a croissant with chips and a juice. Food good but it cost me $9 for one person.

  • David H.

I had the bacon pancakes, side of 2-piece bacon, 2 eggs, and a latte. Total cost was $15.74. The cost is comparable to a breakfast at IHOP or Village Inn. The bonus is the service, the ambiance and the locally owned aspect of the place. The breakfast menu seems to have the standard egg stuff, pancake stuff, burrito stuff, etc.. As well, they of course have the cafe-esque muffins, pastries, and whatnot that are a nice alternative to the usual breakfast fare. Additionally there are a few gems in the menu for breakfast (and it would appear lunch too) that are worth exploring during future visits. This I think is a great place too to take guests/friends rather than the chain restaurants.

Thought we would try somewhere new but was disapointed. I got the Eggs Benedict but the hollandaise sauce was runny and the potatoes had no flavor. My boyfriend had the pancakes which also lacked flavor. The only good part of the breakfast was my latte.
